Elenos, a leading manufacturer of FM transmitters, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Miami office, further strengthening the company’s domestic footing in the North American market.
Two recent hires are a big part of that expansion: Edgar Higueros has joined Elenos USA as the Tech Support Engineer. “Edgar’s a talented engineer and great with customers. I’m proud to have him as a colleague”, said John Bisset, the company’s US Director of Engineering Services and Education. “With the addition of Edgar and his team, we’ll be able to provide 24/7 technical support and service based right here in the USA.”
Another recent hire is Account Executive Fab Sanabria. “Fab brings an outstanding background in sales and client relationships to his position”, extolled Mary Ann Seidler, Director of North American Sales. “We’re very fortunate to have someone of his caliber managing so many different aspects of the customer experience.”
In addition to the growing sales and technical support staff, Elenos USA has built up a fully-stocked inventory of transmitters and parts in its Miami warehouse.
“I’m thrilled to be part of a company that has made such a total commitment to the North American market and the broadcasting industry overall”, concluded Seidler.
Elenos has been manufacturing FM transmitters 35 years, earning a reputation worldwide for technological innovation and leading edge design. With more than 40,000 transmitters sold in over 83 countries, the company’s mission is to produce the most reliable, energy-efficient transmitters in the word.

Elenos USA is pleased to announce the hiring of John Bisset as Director of Technical Services and Education. Elenos, manufacturer of FM transmitters with over 38,000 sold worldwide, will draw upon Bisset’s considerable industry experience as it expands its reach into the North American market.
“It was important for us to bring on someone of John’s caliber,” said Mary Ann Seidler, Elenos’s Director of North American Sales. “We’re totally committed to providing the best customer experience in the industry, and John’s tremendous background will be invaluable. He has a wealth of real-world expertise in engineering, manufacturing, and technical education. He’ll be a great help to our company and customers alike.”
Bisset has substantial experience in the transmitter industry, having held positions with manufacturers Harris, BE, and Nautel. He is well-known throughout the broadcast industry for his “Workbench” column that appears regularly in Radio World. He is an active, certified member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers, and a past recipient of the society’s Educator of the Year award.
When asked about his new company, Bisset raved about the Elenos products: “As an engineer I’ve always looked for ways to save money and space, while maximizing reliability. Well I recently had an opportunity to visit the Elenos factory, and I was just blown away. Their transmitters are designed with a total focus on cost-consciousness and energy efficiency. They’re amazingly compact, too. I’m really excited to help introduce them to the North American market.”
Bisset was equally enthused about his new colleagues: “I’m totally energized to be joining such an innovative, engineering-driven group. And it’s a thrill to be working with Mary Ann (Seidler) again – she’s so creative and passionate.”
Elenos is a world leader in manufacturing compact, reliable, energy-efficient FM transmitters. Started in 1977, the company has sold over 38,000 transmitters in 86 countries. Customers include MTV, BBC, Deutche Welle, Radio Maria, and many more. The Elenos mission is to create the most reliable transmitters in the world.
Elenos USA is pleased to announce that the highly-regarded line of Elenos FM transmitters will now be available to the US and Canadian markets. Elenos has been manufacturing transmitters in Europe for 35 years, earning a stellar reputation worldwide for technical innovation, reliability, energy-efficiency, and appealing design. Miami-based Elenos USA will now be leading the company’s expansion into North America.
Elenos USA President Alfonso Lopez emphasized that Elenos is a “stable, well-capitalized manufacturer with a long history of technological innovation. They have developed several proprietary technologies that have allowed them to build compact, energy-efficient, high power transmitters. We noticed at last year’s NAB show that engineers were marveling at the Elenos products, especially how compact and efficient they are.”
“Even so,” Lopez continued, “there have always been concerns toward European manufacturers entering the US market – the biggest stumbling block has usually been service and support. I’m confident that we’re well positioned to leap over that hurdle, and I couldn’t be more excited about introducing these amazing products to North American broadcasters.”
Lopez explained that Elenos has adopted a careful strategy of entering the American market. First they established a successful distribution company, 305 Broadcast of Miami, which will provide the infrastructure for domestic distribution, sales, and support. Then they founded Elenos USA, a partner company that will specialize in the Elenos transmitter business. Finally, Lopez continued, “We recruited the best of the best to handle sales, distribution, and support. Americans rely on fast, efficient, and fluent customer service, and our team is ready to provide that.”
“Our new Sales Director is Mary Ann Seidler, who has a great track record of building successful dealer networks in the broadcast industry. We’ve also brought John Bisset on board, who’s highly respected throughout the transmitter industry for his RF expertise. We have several RF engineers on staff for technical support. Plus our Miami warehouse is full of stock and parts to respond immediately to our customers’ requests. So we’re ready to go!”

ELENOS has created a new high-performance FM Transmitter that is the state-of-the-art technology in transmitters offered nowadays.
The new Indium series ensures highest electrical efficiency, excellent performance and energy savings like nothing else.
EFFICIENCY AND ENERGY SAVINGS AT ALL POWER LEVELS
The transmitter is energy efficient not just at maximum power but at all power levels.
ULTRA COMPACT SIZE: Concentrated power
This new series of transmitters consists of no more than two rack units and less than 33 pounds: half the weight of similar devices, with great advantages in terms of Shipping and handling.
PLANAR TECHNOLOGY
The Indium Series widely uses the planar technology for the entire RF section (RF modules, combiners, splitters and low-pass filter), to minimize internal connections and soldering. With all this, stability increases, chances of failure are severely reduced, and maintenance is simplified.
ECOSAVING
Due to the high electrical efficiency, the internal temperatures of the transmitters remain outstandingly low. Energy saving, environmental protection and long product life are guaranteed.
HIGHER POWER EFFICIENCY
The Indium series of transmitters have gone beyond the limits of technology and devices of today by proving power efficiency of up to 80%. These levels make a big difference in operation costs, and the heat reduction increases the useful life of the transmitter.
EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL WITH “EASY SURFING”: SIMPLE AND IMMEDIATE MONITORING
Indium has also given special attention to ergonomics. It’s now possible to configure all the parameters of the transmitter by simply navigating through the software menus by using a control knob. The transmitter features some easy access buttons as well which take you directly to main functions of it, so you can operate it immediately.
All operating parameters such as voltage, temperature, power, among others, are shown in an O-LED display. Transmitter also includes a series of LEDs that provide a quick snapshot of the main state of the equipment. Complete monitoring capabilities of all the parameters featured on the transmitter usually allow maintenance to be performed without special instruments.
NO CORROSION
In ELENOS, we pay particular attention to the flow of air inside the transmitter, so we make sure that the direct flow of cooling air doesn’t come in touch with the equipment’s electronic boards by inducing a process of tropicalization, so all these boards are protected from moisture. The transmitter’s parts are all-aluminum in order to avoid any kind of corrosion. By doing all this, we ensure that the transmitter can work in extreme environmental conditions.
LIFEXTENDER
During extreme operating conditions, the LifeXtender® option guarantees a safe performance of the transmitter. The transmitter’s cooling system is upgraded to support high temperatures, and a unit automatically decreases output power in cases of high reflected power or temperature, extending the device’s useful life, and lowering maintenance costs.
CONNECTIVITY
Features TC/TS for integration with exchange systems and the interface at each remote monitoring system, carried out directly by the device’s software.
The transmitter can store up to 6 different profiles of operation where you can configure all its working parameters (frequency, power, audio modes, levels, and more). Six relay outputs with indication of the profile in use. The interface allows the transmitter to be used as a reserve in any N+1 system.
Transmitters from the Indium Series can be supplied with Ethernet port for connecting to a network with TCP/IP — SNMP. The transmitter also has an integrated web server for control over the internet. (This option will be available soon).
The device can be equipped with an internal GSM modem for management over SMS. (This option will be available soon).
Features a full range of fast and remote diagnostics. HostLink standard protocol makes it simple to handle large amounts of data to diagnose remotely.
WIDE RANGE OF CONFIGURATIONS TO SATISFY EVERY NEED!
ET5000 uses ICEFET technology (http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icefet) which permits a drastic reduction of working temperature and consumptions. ET5000 is “EcoSaving” in all conditions, also when it doesn’t need to run at full power. ICEFET Technology led to the realization of the smallest, lightest and most durable transmitters on the market today.
If simplicity of use and maintance is synonymous of quality, thanks to the Hostilink standard industrial protocol Elenos’ ET5000 is extremely reliable in the management of informations for remote diagnostic. Fast and widespread assistance, low consumptions, durability, simplicity of use are the main highlights that make ET5000 a total quality equipment. Read more
