ELENOS: the history and mission

elenos-sedeElenos was founded in Italy in 1977, and is nowadays one of the world leaders in FM Broadcasting Equipment.
Our mission is to create FM transmitters with Maximum Reliability and to provide Excellent After Sales Service.
Our strategies are:
The mechanical part are all in stainless steel.
The Electronic boards are all Tropicalized.
Each equipment pass rigorous burn-in process and quality control checks.
The power sections are all over-dimensioned, developed with conservative approach (ex. we use 20 MOSFET to produce 5KW output power instead the 16 used by most manufacturer).
The temperature of the equipment thanks to ELENOS patented Heat Sinks is kept extremely low to increase the MTBF
The use of hardware protections and derating strategies of critical parameters like VSWR and Temperature.
The use of redundancy in all the critical parts avoiding any “Single Point Failures” bottleneck.

Several patents cover our equipment: the Polynomial Coupler, the High-efficiency heat sink and many other that our Research and Development develop in cooperation with the University of Ferrara.
Our equipment are conform 99/5EC European standard and respect the following Directives: EN60215, EN301 489-11, EN 302 018-2 and are homologated on in several countries like CE Europe, FCC United States, Argentina, Brazil, China, Russia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Senegal, Canada.

Our range of products is a complete family of 100W up to 60KW MOSFET FM transmitters and we are particularly focused on turn-key 30KW MOSFET transmitters installations configured with active or passive reserve in 1+1X or N+1X configuration.

U.S. Radio Revenue for 2008: $16.7 Billion, down 8.5%

biachart2Managers might be forgiven for leaping at the smallest good news, but the phrase “slight recovery” jumps out of the latest revenue forecast for the U.S. commercial radio business.

It’s from BIA Advisory Services, which anticipates a “slight positive trajectory beginning in 2011.”

More immediately, the research company found that small and mid-size markets continue to perform better than larger ones and that “income from digital sources is quickly proving itself to be a part of radio’s future.”
