ECHOS (Elenos Change Over System) is a new Elenos products family, comprising a series of N+1 Exchange System versions for FM transmitters. A new N +1 exchange systems concept is proposed, based on the success of the compact transmitters ETG2000 and ETG3500. The purpose of this system is to enable the operation of a number of transmitters (up to a maximum of 6) with additional transmitter, available as a reserve. To ensure these functionalities, the system is composed, in the most complex version, by: ECHOS 6 It is the system control unit, which operates an analysis of the different transmitters status, of antenna relay and of audio / MPX exchange matrix. This device comes into play when one of the transmitters is fault, and it manages RF, audio, MPX signal switching process to the antenna, to activate the reserve transmitter instead of the fault transmitter. ECHOS6 has all the auxiliary MPX channels necessary, that making it adequate where the system transmitters are powered exclusively by MPX signal. In all cases where just 1 transmitter requires an audio (Left and Right) or RDS signal, the device should be completed with AUDIO and MPX MATRIX. AUDIO/ MPX MATRIX 6 This device has the task to manage audio signal switching, which occurs through an array of electromechanical relays. This device is also available as MPX MATRIX 6, whose only difference is the different type of connectors (BNC instead of XLR). ANTENNA RELAY SYSTEM These relay are connected to ECHOS6 with standard connectors.

EXTREME COMPACTNESS

The system is delivered ready to be programmed and put into operation. The installation is extremely easy and it requires no special predisposition in the station.

EASY USE

Seven devices all equal, (6 + 1), for a easy system management, through personnel training, who will learn the operation of a single type of transmitter.
The system is fully wired inside the rack, with I/O connectors located on an external panel, allowing the installation of the complete 6+1 system without opening the rack.
Front panel with synoptic leds and OLED display for intuitive monitor of the system status.
Automatic or Manual mode operation.
Fast operation, it's take less than 2 second to perform the commutation (programmable).

EASY MAINTENANCE

Main controls through pushbuttons for immediate control.
"Origin" pushbutton for a quick restore of the original system configuration.

CONTROL/TELEMETRY

Remote control by a standard parallel interface (TLC/TLS), IEE485/RS232, TCP/IP, optional Web server and SNMP protocol.
Telemetry.

SECURITY

"Closed" system in terms of station interference and issues, with "ad hoc" solutions for the best functionality and reliability.
Opto-coupled inputs and dry contact relays outputs with separate and galvanically isolated power supply.
Internal blower to convey the exhaust air outside the rack.
"No-Fails" system, the current configuration is retained if Echos6 is turned off.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

CE marked system in its entirety, to avoid the problems to maintain the compliance requirements of Directive 1999 / 5.

CUSTOMIZATIONS

The transmitters can be not only ELENOS, but also of different brand and powers, because the signals necessary to activate the switches are basically a worldwide standard.
